Off to Paris…..

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

Are you frickin’ kidding me.  Susan called, and, obviously I left an impression.  She invited me to Paris – holy toledo – she’s got an apartment right in the downtown area.  There is so much to do there.  She can be my personal guide.  And, she wants me to stay for a month – um, can’t say no to that.  So I’m off of here and onto a new adventure.  Heck, I may never come back….

just wait and see.  Bonjour!

Susan, ok another.

I like my titles.  I could list just about every girl name out there, and I think I will.  Just for your enjoyment.  Susan, she was great – she’s a take home on the first date type of gal.  Man, she’s a rocker – so much fun.  The single date turned into a week long – let’s say romp.  She stayed with me for the week – then lo and behold – went back to France.  Um, I would love to go see the Eiffel tower – maybe she’ll invite me.  Maybe it was as good for her as it was for me.

I hope so.

Much better.  No X talking, thank goodness.  I didn’t splurge with her, not knowing what to expect and having been through the Cindy fiasco.  I actually have gone out on 3 dates so far with Debbie, and 1 mixed in with Teri.  Hey, I’m not a one person dater, when the opportunity arises, and a gorgeous girl comes along, well, ya just have to take the opportunity!

I am nearing my 30’s though, so I guess I have to learn to want to settle down.  Um, ok, NO, I will not settle down, not yet.  There are way to many girls on the beach for that.

Cindy….

the beotch.  OMG.  I took this gal Cindy out on a date.  Very nice, I might add.  We went to Hemingways – um, can you say expensive?  Holy Shitole – $350 for dinner and 1 frickin bottle of wine.  Ok, so I was trying to impress.  It so didn’t work.  She, by the end of the meal was bitching about all of her ex’s.  I DON’T want to hear about other guys – GIRLS please listen, don’t say anything about exes on the first date – or any for that matter.  We don’t care.  She seriously bitched for about 2 hours and then I was done.  I tried to change the subject, but somehow she always got back to Jim.  UGH – I don’t care!  She’s done, $350 wasted, totally wasted.  But better to know at the beginning I suppose.

I’m B A C K!

And, in action.  OMG it feels so good to feel normal.  I really can’t believe that I was so sick.  Not sure what, but I guess it was the EBV.  A little rest, exercise and supplements and a few months and I feel great!

I took Sue out on a date last night.  It was fun, we went to dinner, a movie – traditional, I know.  But fun.  She’s not the type to go home on the first date – like me – but that’s ok.  She was very sweet and we laughed a lot.  It actually feels weird being in this position again.  I love dating.  I love dating, did I say that, can you hear me?  I love dating.

First Trip

In a long time.  Thanks Brad and Jenny for taking me to Hawaii with your family.  Wow, I am feeling so much better and can almost say I’m BACK!  So watch out ladies, when I’m back for good, you are in danger.

We went to Maui on our trip.  We did so many things.  We did the bike down the volcano – horseback riding on the beach – surfed (my first and last time) – went to a luau – went to the pineapple plantation.  And, so much more.  I’ll post some pictures of the absolutely gorgeous sunsets when I load them on my computer.  I truly had a fabulous time with your family Brad – I can’t thank you enough!

Slowly….getting

better.  I am.  I truly think I am.  It’s been 4 months since my last post I think.  I’ve been really trying to exercise, go to yoga and taking some supplements, that I think are helping.  I feel better.  Not 100%, but better and I can’t ask for more than that.  Well, I guess I can ask for 100%, but I’m confident that that will happen.

I really want to thank all of my friends for being so supportive.  You guys rock.  I’ve had meals made, shopping trips with friends and little by little I’m getting my energy back.  I have to think you are all responsible for my getting better – or at least helping – so thanks!

Something going on.

For whatever reason, my doctor tested me for EBV.  Eptstein Barr Virus.  Yep, got that.  I have no idea what it means, other than most people have it, mine is just active right now.  Now, if I can find a doctor that can help me that will be great!  My other blood tests came back fine, so I guess that’s good.  White count fine.  Check.  I must not be dieing, but I feel like it.  I’m just so tired.  I’m not even interested in dating – which is another OMG are you serious response.  I’m a ladies man, well, used to be.  I seriously need to find out what’s happening, or…I don’t know.  I’ll just be sad forever.

So far nothing.

Ever feel like no one believes you?  I seriously can’t walk to the mailbox without resting.  The doctor I saw sent me for blood tests to start off with.  Ok, yeah, right.  I don’t want drugs, I want to feel better.  This doctor said, men go through a period of being tired, it’s probably going to stop soon and you’ll be fine.  WHAT DON”T YOU UNDERSTAND?  I feel like shit.  I have always been into sports and very active and I have literally been stopped in my tracks, in what seems like overnight.

I know my dear friends are very concerned.  I just wish I could say the same for my doctors :(

My Journal begins.

I have been feeling very sick lately.  Serious enough to make me so tired, this is even hard to do.  But, a lot of my family and friends want to keep updated without bothering me, so I decided a blog would be the perfect way to let them be involved and keep me resting when I need to be.  This is going to be my process of figuring out what is wrong with me.  I just want to cry sometimes, and yeah, I’m a guy, but this sucks.  Totally sucks.  I have a doctor appointment with some routine blood tests after the beginning of the year, and will update after that.  Thanks for listening!
